Create Digital Pastel Paintings

The pastel medium has been around for several centuries, with roots as old as mankind.
An ever-increasing number of artists have since discovered the rich colors and expressiveness of pastel painting.

This app will let you create beautiful digital works of art, especially if you're a talented artist.
If you're not, iPastels will keep you entertained until you become one through practice and experience!
Simulating soft (chalk) pastels, oil pastels and color blending, the iPastels app tries to be as realistic as possible.
Actual pastelists can use iPastels to try out ideas and compositions before starting on a new painting in real life.
Beginners will be able to practise and refine their skills, without the added cost of pastel sticks and specialty papers.

One of the most widely used techniques in pastel is to use your finger to blend the colors into each other right on the paper, as part of the painting process.
Using iPastels, paint with different colors and then use Smudge (the finger) or the Cotton Swab to blend and smoothen the colors.
This produces amazing results!

Adjacent to the colors you will find buttons to switch between the different color sets.
Press a second time if you want to replace the color set with one of the default ones.

Export
You can work on up to 10 paintings, stored within the app under 'Work In Progress', so you don't have to use the export function until a painting is completely finished.
